Commodore Update 22nd December

Published Tue 22 Dec 2020

Message from the Commodore

Member Update, Tuesday 22dn December.

Thank you for your help and support in advising the Club of your results of COVID testing. All RANSA and Navy Bear reported results have been negative. NSW Health have not advised the Club of any further cases other than the original person present at the breakfast.

However, we also highlight the NSW Health website this morning still instructs any person who attended the Breakfast or Club on 13th December between 10:30AM and 4:45PM to get tested immediately and self-isolate until you get a negative result. We request your immediate compliance if you have not already done so.

The Club has been deep-cleaned last Sunday. The Navy Bear Café will reopen today, Tuesday, initially for takeaway only and under the 4 SQM ruling. Strict COVID Marshalling and protocols have been agreed with Navy Bear and the Club. If any Member notices a breach of protocols, please email office@ransa.com.au.

We also note NSW Health strongly recommends people across NSW wear face masks indoors. We have also requested Navy Bear to register a COVID sign-in for every person who enters the Club including Members. When the Café is closed it is still just as important to ensure all members and their guests COVID sign in.

Café Operations and Members

Prior to the COVID issue, the Flag Officers were working with Navy Bear to address the issues emerging from the instant success of the Café and Member access and use of facilities.

As our Staff are on leave from this morning until the first Twilight on the 8th January, and some of your Flag Officers are also away, these discussions will continue after the break and we will keep Members updated at that time.

We again wish you a Merry Christmas and a Safe New Year.

Note: A searate notice has been distributed re limited use of the Club by those who registered in time for NYE.
