COVID Spacing At RANSA

Published Tue 09 Jun 2020

COVID-19 Winter Wednesday & Saturday Social Distancing Requirements

As you would be well aware of by now with the return to racing, while sooner than expected, brings responsibilities for everyone to play their part in keeping safe by practicing social distancing when at the club as per NSW Health guidelines. In summary a distance of 1.5m between people and no more than 1 person per sqm.

What that means in practical terms for the RANSA boatshed will be the following MAXIMUM numbers per space:

Deck / Café Area 24 Pax

Rushcutters Rm 14 Pax

Side Entry 3 pax

Oar Locker area 3 Pax

Disabled Toilets 1 Pax

Ladies Toilet 3 pax

Mens Toilet 2 pax

While the Whaler Bar is not open at present, if it were to open under the current guidelines the number would be:

Behind the Bar 2 pax

Bar 7 pax

Signs will be posted shortly to cover the capacity of the main areas, and on the marina there will be markings 1.5m apart to assist. Additionally hand sanitiser and wipes will be readily available inside.

However, please recognise that the club is only open to allow access to your boat or equipment and is not for socialising pre or post race. Australian Sailing is encouraging the theme:

Get In, Sail, Get Out!

For skippers racing please don’t forget to send your crew lists (or any amendments) to Roger at the Office prior to the start of each race.
