NEW YEARS EVE 2022 AT RANSA

Published Wed 30 Nov 2022

NEW YEAR’S EVE 2022 at RANSA

RANSA will be open as usual for New Year’s Eve celebrations and fireworks viewing for RANSA Members and up to 5 guests (three couples). Bring your RANSA Membership card for access on NYE to RANSA. Please remember there are parking restrictions on New Beach Rd and surrounds. Mooring on the Marina will be sought after and will be on a first come first served basis, but please be considerate of other members and keep the Southern end “T” clear for drop off and pick up.

Please let the office know if you plan to be here so that we have an idea of numbers

For those that have not been to RANSA for NYE before, and a reminder to all Members attending the event, here are the updated guidelines for 2022 so everyone can enjoy the facilities and the views.

  1. You must bring your RANSA membership card to gain access to RANSA facilities on the night. The area will be fenced off and a security guard will be vetting the entrance into RANSA. Members are advised to arrive with their guests so they can be identified as being with you. Members are responsible for their guests at all times throughout the evening.
  2. On entry you will be issued a wrist band, and this must always be worn to identify you are a RANSA Member or a Member’s guest. No wrist band, no Bar or RANSA access, no exceptions.
  3. The evening and the viewing space is for all Members and their guests, so please be considerate of how you arrange tables so that the number of people sitting at a table can be maximised. Please do not join tables that can seat 6 together so that only 3 people can use the table.
  4. No tables or chairs can be “reserved” by roping off or tying together before NYE. Again, please be considerate of sharing the space so that all Members can enjoy the view.
  5. This year, the entry charge of $5.00 per adult will be donated to the Sir David Martin Foundation. Of course, all other donations to SDMF will be gratefully accepted. Please give generously thinking of those not as fortunate to be able to enjoy a NYE as you do at RANSA.
  6. Under no circumstances are you allowed to bring your own alcohol into RANSA as it contravenes our licensing, and the entire Rushcutters Bay precinct is an alcohol-free zone on the night, and it will be confiscated if discovered.
  7. The event is self-catering, so bring a hamper or an esky with whatever you want to eat on the night.
  8. Under no circumstances must any Member moor alongside on the marina berth for the night, no exceptions.
  9. The designated pick-up/drop off area is only for a brief ‘kiss and run’ and you may have to stand off until space available.
  10. Remember there are parking restrictions and street closures around the Darling Point area, including New Beach Road, which will not re-open until 2am, so plan your trip with this in mind.
  11. Have fun!

Remember there is a $5.00 per adult charge for entry payable on the day which will be donated to RANSA’s preferred charity, The Sir David Martin Foundation
