“Record entries for the RANSA Regatta”
“104 boats signed up for the RANSA Regatta last Sunday, a record number thanks to Balmain Sailing Club including the regatta as part of their Summer Sunday series, but even without their 20 or so entries the fleet was well above the 70 or so entries in recent years, so thanks to all who took part.

The weather was perfect with sunshine and plenty of breeze, and congratulations to the place getters - the full results are on the website under ‘Racing’ where you can also see the results of the  Admirals Trophy- regained from the CYCA  by a mere  one point! Thanks to our RO John and his team on RANSA 1 for running an exciting race.

If you came in the top three and haven’t yet claimed your prizes you can still do so at the RANSA office.

Beth has loaded hundreds of her great photos under ‘Gallery’ on the website, both of the race and the prizegiving, so check it out.

Special thanks to our guest of honour RADM Chris Smith, Commander of the Australian fleet, who joined us for the day on Lady  Hopetoun and presented the prizes, and to Janey, Sam and Jules who looked after everyone on the Lady H.

Matt, Merillee, Carol, Col, Steve, Eloise, Glen and the house committee team made sure everything went smoothly back at the clubhouse, and a special thanks to our favourite songster Mr Seb who kept the party going!
