RANSA Pirates Day - Postponed due to COVID-19

Published Tue 17 Mar 2020

Unfortunately RANSA in conjunction with the Sir David Martin Foundation and Triple Care Farm have made the decision to postpone Pirates Day until the COVID-19 threat has passed, probably until September.

The annual RANSA Pirates Day Race around the Harbour will now not be conducted in March, but hope to see you later in the year! All funds raised will go to the Sir David Martin Foundation, who are dedicated to supporting “Young People in Crisis”. People from the Foundation will be joining us out on the water.

The day starts at 11.30am under the large flagpole with a Pirate briefing where race instructions are handed out. Importantly, this race is about cunning and local knowledge and you will be given a list of questions and clues to follow. The race takes about an hour and a half to complete (under motor) and you should be ready to repel boarders at all times.

This is a great day for kids. It is vitally important that you dress up your Pirate Ship with as many Pirate accessories as possible, especially flags and even more important - that you look like Pirates and Wenches – arggghhhhhh!!!
