Saltwater Veterans Anzac event on Tuesday 08APRIL25

Good morning members,

 We would like to invite you to participate with your yacht for the upcoming Saltwater Veterans Anzac event on Tuesday 08APRIL25. RANSA already has 3 x yachts participating being NAVY 1, Scarborough and SYLVARA.  Saltwater Veterans have over 60 attendees signed up from their membership and RSL sub-branches. They need more yachts - If you are keen to support please sign up using the link below as soon as possible to assist with organising The yacht club has a fantastic deck to sit and relax on and watch the sailing events take place for those attending with mobility issues.

  • Timings; 08APRIL2025 - 0900 - Volunteers Meet - 0930 – Meet (Everyone) - ANZAC Day Commemoration Service - O/C – Activity Brief then provide sailing sessions for participants wishing to partake - 1200 – Return to the dock - O/C – Social BBQ
  • Bookings; bookings must be made using the Saltwater Veterans link below.
  • What to bring; A list can be found within the Saltwater Veterans sign on form (below).
  • Food and beverages. Saltwater Veterans will provide a BBQ with the conclusion of the event at around 2pm (1400).
  • Mobility & Physical Ability; Veterans with reduced mobility are most welcome. If you have any questions or concerns in relation to sailing and physical ability, please reach out to Saltwater Veterans directly.

  • Join us as we honour the service and sacrifice of our fellow veterans while celebrating the unwavering support of our families, friends, and community.
  • The day will begin with a commemorative service, followed by a social sail (jackets and medals off!) and a relaxed BBQ to wrap up the event.
  • 🎉 Excited to have the support & collaboration of:
  • Manly Sailing, Manly Yacht Club, Manly Lions, Club Rivers, the RSL NSW Veterans Support Fund donors, and on-the-ground support from Forestville, Kirribilli, and Paddington-Woollahra RSL Sub-Branches!

I will probably sail over late Monday arvo and pick up a mooring.
