AUSTRALIA DAY INSHORE REGATTA - TUESDAY 26 JANUARY

The Australia Day Regatta, proudly acclaimed as the oldest continuously-conducted annual sailing regatta in the world, has been conducted each year since 1837. Boats taking part range from large ocean-racing yachts to 18 foot skiffs and radio controlled model yachts. On-Harbour activities have been scaled back but the Defence Forces will still take place. There are some 40 entries so far but more are welcome.

RANSA REGATTA – SUNDAY 14 FEBRUARY

The RANSA REGATTA will be held this year on Sunday 14 February-we know it’s Valentines Day, so bring your partners, or meet them at RANSA for post race celebrations!

The RANSA REGATTA is a round-the-harbour pursuit race much like a CYCA Winter Sunday race, the entry fee is only $50 for all, there are prizes for all the placegetters, and all proceeds go to our favoured charity, the Sir David Martin Foundation.

The Notice of Race  and Entry form is on the website here , or you can enter online here

SYDNEY HARBOUR REGATTA- SATURDAY & SUNDAY 6 & 7 MARCH

Hosted by Middle Harbour Yacht Club, the Sydney Harbour Regatta, this year its 16th Anniversary, is one of the largest competitive keelboat regattas in Australia.

180 keelboats will race across 25 divisions over 7 course areas, throughout Sydney Harbour as well as offshore near Sydney Heads. All main Sydney Clubs are involved in the running of the event, and RANSA will once again be running the non-spinnaker divisions. Notice of Race and further details will soon be available on the MHYC Website

RACE MANAGEMENT VOLUNTEERS NEEDED!

We need volunteers for the start boat for both the RANSA REGATTA on 14 Feb and the SYDNEY HARBOUR REGATTA on 6 & 7 March: please contact the office if you are available to help on those days -- we would love to hear from you: past experience on the start boat would be great, but our experienced teams will be happy to welcome newcomers and show them the ropes..
