WEDNESDAYS

The popular Wednesday afternoon series runs year round with the Royal Prince Edwards running the event in summer and RANSA in winter, and usually attracts 70+ entrants. The Whaler Bar will be open pre and post race and the Navy Bear Café will remain open later for post race snacks.

As the season progresses we hope to bring back our info/tech nights on Wednesdays with themes such as the Racing Rules of Sailing, Sail Trim etc and we will keep you informed as plans are finalised. In the meantime if there is a subject you would like to learn or hear more about please let us know.

SATURDAYS

The Combined Clubs Series runs from 7 May to end July, 12 races for a full series or a 6 race short series. There are Spinnaker and non spinnaker divisions, and this is an opportunity for RANSA members to compete with a variety of entries from other clubs. RANSA is hosting the races on 7 and 21 May, 4 June and 2 July. 7 May is the MUSTO sale weekend at RANSA when you can grab a bargain, and for the other RANSA days the bar will be open after the race. On the other Saturdays all are encouraged to come back to the Clubhouse for BYO drinks, there will be prizes for the best performing RANSA entries each week, and trophies at the end of the season.

We will need start boat volunteers for both series and duty boats will be advised, but if you would like to volunteer for a specific date please let us know: we will also need  a few volunteers in the bar after the races on Saturdays and Wednesdays, so again please let us know if you can help.
